McGregor Blvd. plastic surgery center on track

Dr. John Ritrosky began construction of a plastic surgery center in December and so far the project is on track.

The center, which is in the McGregor Boulevard and A&W Bulb area, will house the doctor's 7,000 square foot plastic surgery center and additional space for medical offices.

"Our company has really worked on the whole project with the doctor since the beginning," said Lerin Byrd, the marketing director for the Gulfcoast Consulting Group, Inc., running the project.

The center will be Ritrosky's main surgery center and will feature a neo-modern design with windows, strong curves and a putty-colored facade.

"We are hoping to provide some additional jobs for the area," said Teely Byrd, the vice president of Gulfcoast Consulting Group, Inc.

The group has helped the doctor obtain construction permits, secure financing and will assist with leasing.

Special attention has been paid to the additional traffic the center will draw to the McGregor Boulevard corridor.

"We are adding a deceleration lane to the project which will help traffic,"Teely Byrd said. "It will also help with being able to turn off the road without slowing down traffic in the area."

Construction of the building is expected to be completed by the fall and developers hope it will augment the area.

"This design style is unique to Lee County and enhances the allure of McGregor Boulevard," Teely Byrd about the center that is certified by the Agency for Health Care Administration.

The Gulfcoast Consulting Group, Inc. is a design-build and general contracting firm.
