Great Clips offers good prices, service

Great Clips for hair offers haircuts at reasonable prices and with good customer service. The shop has been open 3€ years.

A reasonably priced haircut and great customer service is how Irene Dunn describes Great Clips for hair on Bonita Beach Road and Imperial Parkway in Bonita Springs.

The hair salon has been open for 3€ years and Dunn says the customers just keep coming back.

“We have a comfortable place for our customers to come and they can get a good haircut for a reasonable price,” said Dunn, who’s been the manager of the shop for three years.

Dunn is only one of the seven hairstylists at Great Clips, which offers everything from haircuts to perms and conditioning treatments.

“We are not full-service because we don’t do nails or color hair but we do perms, styles, braids and up-dos,” said Dunn of the shop.

Great Clips is a franchise based out of Minneapolis and opened in 1982 and is owned by Charles Moir and Brian Gibbons.

There are additional shops in Naples, Estero, Cape Coral and a new one open in May off Alico Road, said Dunn.

Setting up shop in east Bonita Springs has been profitable, said Dunn, because they are building a constant customer base.

“We have customers coming from as far as Estero and Naples and we have been very busy,” Dunn said. “We are growing every day.”

And all that growth can be hard to manage with different customers wanting a variety of haircuts and styles, so Dunn keeps it all in a computer system.

“We keep customers’ phone numbers and addresses and even what cut they got and who did it for them,” Dunn said. “The computer system lets all the hairdressers know what is going on.”

Despite having a computer system to keep track of haircut styles Dunn somehow manages to remember where some customers live.

“He lives in Worthington,” she says about Bruce Wyzkoff, who was getting a haircut.

“How do you know that?” Wyzkoff replies. “Oh, I know ... you do my wife’s hair.”

Dunn does his wife’s hair and many others and that’s how she keeps abreast of the news.

“Working here you learn a lot about everything going on.”
